STAY INFORMED
Keep yourself updated on the itinerary and any changes to sailing conditions or plans as communicated by the crew.
BATHROOM USE
Do not throw toilet paper or any other items into the toilets as this can cause clogs. A $150 cleaning fee will be charged if the toilets are clogged due to improper use.
RESOLVE CONFLICT RESPECTFULLY
If issues arise among boat mates, please address them to your captain and strive to resolve them amicably.
SWIMMING
GUIDELINES
DIVING FROM THE BOATS
Never jump off the boat while the engine is running or while it is anchoring. Always wait for confirmation from the captain before entering the water.
AVOID SLIPPING
Be cautious when moving around the boat, as wet feet can cause slips and falls.
DO NOT SWIM BETWEEN BOATS

STAY WITHIN SIGHT
Always stay within sight of the boat and our guides. Do not stray too far, regardless of your swimming strength.
STAY INSIDE THE BAY
Do not swim outside of the bay to avoid being carried away by winds and currents. Even if the sea seems calm, there can be strong currents.

HAZARDS & SAFETY
SUN
Greek Sun is strong. It can dehydrate you, burn your skin and even exhaust you.
Especially when at sea or during activities like hiking, snorkeling or sailing, long exposure without proper hydration, hat and sun screen might lead to heat strokes.
night out
Summer is the best time for party. In Greece alcohol is consumed a lot both from locals and tourists. However there are some few things that you need to be aware. Cheap alcohol usually means bad quality. It can seriously ruin your night, definitely your next morning and even send you to the hospital!
Drinking & driving is seen very often in Greece. Pay extra attention when crossing junctions or walking on the side of the road, especially in the islands!
Sea dangers
The Greek archipelago is one of the cleanest and safest in the world. No dangerous marine life exists in the Hellenic Ocean. The only think to be cautious about is sea urchins on shallow rocky waters - they do not move so they are easy to avoid.
PICKPOCKETING
Pickpocketing and bag snatching does exist, but it's not as common as you would expect. Picpockets usually lurk around popular tourist destinations and big cities like Athens, but applying simple precaution measures should minimize this risk.
WOMEN TRAVEL
It is very safe for women to travel to Greece. Just following common sense and applying basic precaution measures (not walking around in the dark, in empty streets, not finding yourself alone with strange men) should ensure that your travel goes without any incidents.

life on the boat
aye aye captain
Safety is a priority. When on board there is only one rule. Always follow your captains’ orders.
Our captains conquer the wildest seas, discover unfound places, and master the art of seamanship.
As they say, smooth seas never made skillful sailors. The water is an education and, like you, we are passionate about the challenge of safe sailing and smooth expeditions. No matter how the winds blow, our captains will safely dock your sailboat in any marina,
under any conditions.
flexibility
Are you obsessed with time? We are very sorry to inform you that when on a sailboat, time is relative. Strong winds might take us on our destination faster and no winds might cause delays. A tangled anchor when leaving the marina or just currents against our direction, might affect our EST.
Time on a sailing boat runs in two speeds!
Calm or no winds --> Time to enjoy the sun and the sun, the sea and company of ship mates.
The wind picks up --> Sailing Time (AHOY)
Set your soul free, let go of time stress and let our team work on the natures pace to create a perfect experience for you all.
reception
There is 4G internet routers on the boats. Since its 4G there are times that we might be in the midst of the sea or in a secluded cover that reception might be poor. It is also available for messaging apps, internet browsing but not for video calls.
For those who want to instantly feed their social media, video call family, friends, pets and be constantly connected, during the trip you might choose to buy a local SIM card. To do so make sure to unlock your phone to accept European cards from home. Upon arrival there is a store at the airport that sells local SIM cards. It is located in the arrivals floor. There are 3 phone operators in Greece: Cosmote, Vodafone Greece, and Wind Greece. The Greece sim card unlimited data packages for data in Greece. Cosmote has the best coverage
You can also add an international plan by simply calling your provider.
